How to use UPuper® Rockwool cubes for Cutting Propagation?

UPuper® Rockwool cubes are popular with hydroponics growers, as well as conventional growers because of their beneficial structure. UPuper® rock wool is made from natural rock and melted at 1500℃. It has no pathogenic bacteria or toxic or harmful substances. It provides a pollution-free root environment for growing green crops.

UPuper® CP S40 rock wool propagation blocks are perfect for cannabis cloning. They are easily transplanted to larger stone wool slabs once roots are extended to larger areas for the root system. Usually used with rock wool grow cubes or grow slabs. Each block is individually wrapped in white plastic, for better handling and also can be used with a seedling tray (flat).

How to cutting?

Step1:Pre-Soak

Adjust the pH inside the rock wool substrate to a suitable range for cannabis growth.

Fill the container with water/nutrient solution (lower than normal nutrient solution concentration), adjust the pH of the liquid to the ideal level and put the plug into the solution to soak until fully saturated. The optimum pH range of the solution is 5.5-6.0

Step2:Cloning

1. Cut the cuttings with a length of about 10cm and at least 2 nodes from the mother plant at an angle of 45°.

2. Trim the leaves of the cuttings, leaving only a small part of the top leaves (excessive leaves will affect the efficiency of root development of cuttings).

3. Apply rooting hormone to the cutting part of the cutting rod, and insert it into the planting hole on the top of the plug. Let the cuttings develop in a suitable temperature, humidity, and light environment, and give them an appropriate amount of nutrient solution.
