UPuper® Research Report
In the 1970s and 1980s, in order to protect the environment, some countries did not allow the chemical fertilizers and pesticides application to the soil, and forbade the discharge of excess or waste nutrient solution into the soil or water, so people planted plants on the rock wool substrate. Since then, the cultivation of rock wool substrate began to be accepted and popularized in society. It was developed with the continuous maturity of soilless cultivation technology and became the main substrate for soilless culture in Europe.
The application of rock wool as a substrate for cultivation in China started relatively late. But with the rapid development of facility agriculture in China, the technology is becoming mature, the application of rockwool substrate will also become increasingly popular.
